Dance Ireland at Light Moves Festival of Screendance


Celebrating the diversity of dance activity in Ireland, Dance Ireland commissioned 12 one-minute dance films, which premiered on the 21st of every month throughout 2013 as part of the organisations 21st anniversary programme. These dance shorts, collectively titled Minutes in Motion, will be screen as part of the inaugural Light Moves Festival of Screendance on Saturday 08 November at 11:30am (Screen 4).

Arts and Disability Connect is a new scheme designed to support artists with disabilities to make new and ambitious work. In this first year of the awards, seven artists have been awarded €25,000 under three strands:  New Work, Mentoring and Training.

Catherine Young Announced as Dance Ireland’s The Next Stage Candidate for 2014


Following on from the success of previous years, Dance Ireland is delighted to once again support one free place for a professional category member of Dance Ireland to take part in The Next Stage. This year’s candidate, Catherine Young will take part in the development programme from 25 September to 12 October.
