Open House
Dance Ireland regularly hosts events by youth and community dance groups at DanceHouse. These informal sharings aims to give participants opportunity to present their work in front of an audience and to share their different dance experiences. Previous events include:
- 11 June 2011: Now in its fifth year Open House will host Company B and Irish National Youth Ballet.
- 12 June 2010: featuring participants from 8 to 86 years; a trans-generational Open House with Company B, Dublin Youth Dance Company, Irish National Youth Ballet, Macushla Dance Club, CoisCéim Choreography Project and Dublin Youth Dance Company.
- 13 June 2009: an afternoon of creative dance from CoisCéim Creative Steps, Company B, Dublin Youth Dance Company and Irish National Youth Ballet.
- 9 January 2008: Open House 2, an evening of short performances from Larkin Community College Dance Club, Offaly Youth Dance, Goode School of Dance, Irish National Youth Ballet and Flashdance.
- 5 April 2007: an evening of four diverse youth ensembles - Dublin Youth Dance Company, CoisCéim Creative Steps, National College of Ireland Dance Club and students from The College of Dance. A collaborative initiative between Dance Ireland and CoisCéim Dance Theatre.
